NicoNico Choukaigi 2 (Japan)

So apparently there is an event organised in the namesake of Japan’s most popular Video streaming site; NicoNico Douga; a Youtube equivalent in Japan but better.

The NicoNico Chokaigi 2 closed it’s curtains at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Chiba Prefecture last weekend (27th & 28th April). The event focus on bringing to life, everything that viewers of the NicoNico Douga website is interested in. And that ranges everything from Anime to Games, Music and Food. This site is also where most if not all of your favourite VOCALOID songs came from … so yes, Vocaloid.

While I obviously couldn’t be there to soak in the excitement, I found some photos online where you can see more about the event.

I'm sorry if I scared you and Shiemi with this picture and Shiemi fans please don't kill me. This started off as a joke of me placing Ni-Chan near my eye and trying to act cool turned into a concept photo for all 3 of us.
Undeniably, this concept is so -not- Shiemi. But after so much effort from both and in helping to adjust the lighting for this, I reckon I should put this up. I'll justify this concept by explaining it as an inner fear/ evil in Shiemi's heart. I look angry but really, I was trying to look scared=___=

Anyway *Cvy sort of dare me to put all the unglam-me-photos up. Which I thought it wasn't a bad idea cause Yukio is too uptight. Hahaha =x

I was seriously laughing at myself when I got the photos and laughing like nobody business while trying to pick out all the "BAD MOMENTS". And this is not all, but I just want to keep it this way. There are some "Not So Bad" ones to balance off the "REAL BAD ONES".

I took me time to do this cause I can't stop laughing in front of my monitor.

I can't be bothered to colour edit the photos, so they are how they look like untouched. Even my pimple mark is there if you guys can spot.

And as you guys can read from the ugly handwritten message up there, yes I AM REALLY HUNGRY, CAUSE I HAVE SKIPPED BREAKFAST AND LUNCH preparing food since morning and after that I have to dump all the things in lighting speed in the bag and prepare for the shoot. And the photographers, =songster69 & ~shuui didn't mentioned anything to "not to stop eating". Only occassionally told me to look up to their lens. Haha.

Really enjoy the shoot although the weather try to dampen us + my orz moment of knowing I forgot to pack my guns in.... But I tried to keep my spirits up! XD Cause Ao to me is a funny series. “

‘Sexy Swimming’ CM confirmed to be a real Anime!

Kyoto Animation has unveiled the hugely viral “Sexy Swimming” commercial to be their upcoming Anime series this July 2013! Titled “Free”, the anime is based on Kōji Ōji's “High Speed!”, an honorable mention recipient in the 2nd Kyoto Animation Award in 2011.

And thus the Fujoshis on my Facebook rejoiced and the Heterosexual guys moaned. LOL!

“ Kyoto Animation unveiled its new swimming team anime, Free!, on Friday. The television anime is based on Kōji Ōji's High Speed!, an honorable mention recipient in the 2nd Kyoto Animation Award in 2011.Hiroko Utsumi of Animation DO is directing the anime, and Masahiro Yokotani is supervising the scripts. Futoshi Nishiya is designing the characters, and Tatsuya Katou is composing the music.

Much of the same team created the "Suiei-hen" (Swimming) anime commercial that was unveiled last month.

The main cast are Nobunaga Shimazaki, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Tsubasa Yonaga, Daisuke Hirakawa, and Mamoru Miyano (Rin Matsuoka).”

Here’s a recap at the amazingly fluid animation commercial that started everything. It looks better in HD 8D. I must admit I am VERY surprised at this turn of event ! I kept thinking the ‘Sexy swimming’ short clip was just a promotional video to promote Kyoto Animation –_- ;

I wonder was it originally planned to be an Anime or was Kyoto Animation persuaded to push through due to the overwhelming response. I guess we’ll never know xD

Had the chance to hang out and document popular Taiwanese cosplayers; Neneko & Momo's tourism journey in Singapore. Neneko & Momo was guests at the Fuwa Fuwa Run Maid Café event that happened yesterday (20th April 2013)!

Neneko and Momo are blood sisters and both of them were very cute and obliging. Neneko was the elder sister who was not abashed to show her love for Momo.

She likes teasing Momo and when we were at Marina Bay Sands playing with the outdoor fountain that allows your voice to travel to the other side of the fountain, she asked Momo for the colour of her underwear xD Their relationship is almost like in the Animes.

 

And of course they visited the Merlion =)

Through out the 2+ hour journey around Marina Bay area, the siblings definitely garnered a lot of stares and photo requests from random passerbys and store assistants. Which is a testimony to their kawaii-ness xD

Here, Neneko is being filmed by OMY.sg at the Fuwa Fuwa Run Maid Cafe’s debut location. Love her clothes!!

We also managed to make them do the Gwiyomi for us xD! Even though they have never done the Gwiyomi before, they were nice enough to oblige to my request! And I think they did an awesome job for a first timer  =)
